Tax Code 0T?

in Cutting tax
I've just received my wage slip this month and despite being on 747L since the beginning of this tax year my wage slip has went to 0T. I've went from being a temporary worker to a permanent worker in the same organisation so I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I've been taxed almost double of what I usually am, despite doing less hours this month.
I'm confused as to why? I looked up the HMRC website and it states:
Which I don't understand?

Tax code ‘0T’ means your allowances have been used up or reduced to nil and your income is taxed at the relevant tax rates.

people are entitled to a tax free allowance of 7475 per annum... which corresponds to a taxcode of 747L
a 0T code means you have no tax free allowance which is usually given to people's second job ( for people have two jobs at the same time)
this is clearly incorrect in your case but moving from temporary to permanent may have confused your payroll section.. I would suggest you speak them them in the first instance otherwise phone HMRC and explain the situaion0 -
Is it possible that they still owed you pay from your temp contract, such as pay for holidays not taken? This could mean they are unable to issue a P45. Or have they given you a P45. If they have & you have more than just your own copy, then you should give the payroll dept their copies & it should straighten itself out.0

This explains the issue alot, it was a bit of a rollercoaster at work as they decided my contract was going and so I was paid off at the end of August and issued my P45. Things changed and they decided they wanted me permanently in a slightly different role.
I tried phoning HMRC yesterday and was on hold for half an hour before I gave up  I'll speak to my Payroll department this week as it might just be a case of sending them my P45 back!0
