Courier delivering to Neighbor

what was the item? Out of interest.
Yes, I'm dying to know this as well! Hope it was something that shocks the greedy neighbour A tarantula maybe?0 -
I agree with the earlier posts. Your contract is with the supplier to deliver the stuff. The courier is nothing to do with you, and any mistake they make is not your responsibility, but for the supplier to sort out.
Whether or not the neighbour has nicked the item is for the supplier to sort out.
The supplier should send the goods to you again.
BTW if the neighbour is innocent, he sounds like a complete muppet. Absolutely no point at all in leaving your item out for someone else to steal!0 -
This happened to me with a Next delivery.
The courier who obviously had rice pudding where his brain should be..had placed the package in my wheelie bin!...which, wait for it......was out on the pavement along with all the other bins because it was bin day!
I complained to Next who sent me some paperwork to sign and they credited the amount back to me.
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
I'd love to say it was something exciting but it was just a hard drive. I've been contacting the supplier (email only, no phone support) and they just keep saying to me that as the neighbour signed for it it's out of their hands.
I'm waiting for them to reply again regarding leaving parcels at neighbours houses but as of yet i've had no reply.
It just seems crazy that i'm gonna lose out on this item without ever seeing it.0 -
Speak to your card issuer, if it's a visa you may be able to try a chargeback. Failing that, the courier should have insurance to cover it, failing that, you can take the supplier to the small claims court for your money back.0

I have problems with Parcel Net. They leave stuff on full view on the doorstep. I have had to have 2 refunds on stuff they say they left but I did not get. Funny when they check with the courier they always say handed to me!! That makes me cross as even if I am in it is dumped on the door step.
Companies tend to be quite good if you call them. At the end of the day you did not give them permission to leave the goods with someone else. I am sure they will help you out. Good luck0
