msn messenger -webcam query

Query DAK if using msn messenger (latest ver 8) how to enable audio use when using messenger with a webcam?? I use messenger frequently with a webcam (with inbuilt mic) but the other party cannot hear me and I cant hear them.

have tried going through the messenger options and webcam settings.

when you do the msn video and audio setup for the microphone make sure you select web cam sometimes it puts it as the speakers i don't no why thought.

yes i noticed that during the setup procedure. Webcam works fine and other party can see me, but no sound either side. Does messenger allow voice transmission when using webcams?

yes are you sure you press the right thing video conversation the picture of a screen and a telephone.

I have not noticed a button with telephone on it? Seen button with a little webcam. Please can you indicate under where on the screen or which option this is lcoated?

Try doing just an audio convo

this mite help! have u the speaker icon on your taskbar? if so dd click, master volume panel pops up options, property,make sure all box r ticked close this look at microphone make sure they have all box unticked

okay done that and made sure the "microphone" bit is unticked. need to wait until friends are back online to test it..but thanks all
