We took a digital camera back with a fault. The store staff said they will send it to the repair dept for inspection but "don't expect a replacement because it's usually because the item has been dropped"
He admitted that he was not an expert, argument followed. Unfortunately when they send these things away for inspection you are totally in thier hands.
You see, the reason why it gets sent away to experts is because the store staff AREN'T experts. You're in the hands of the experts when they get sent off.
There's no point in the store staff promising you a replacement when the experts may well reveal that it's been damaged by misuse.0 -

Adding incorrect apostrophes is just as bad.
Shouldn't that be apostrophe's ? :rotfl::rotfl:George_Michael wrote: »
Not nitpicking. Simply pointing out blatant hypocrisy .
If we are going to start differentiating between "nitpicking" and "blatant hypocrisy" surely the point of correction should have been for the insertion of a typographical error; which the use of "my" instead of "by" almost certainly was, rather than a spelling or grammatical error ?Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.
Weren't we at skool together ?

No, actually.... it's the plural of apostrophe rather than being possessive.
He's speaking of adding more than one apostrophe.
If he'd written "Adding an incorrect apostrophe's just as bad," then there should be an apostrophe.0 -

When Comet go under, I will be cheering. They take the !!!! out of their customers and treat them with no respect. The sooner they die a death, the better.There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0

If I were that !!!!!! off about my remote, I would go into Comet, find display model, swap over remote control, leave store.
Otherwise just buy another one.0 -

And if there is no display model? What if you grab the wrong remote, or get a faulty one that they won't do anything about because the serial numbers don't match up :P.0
