How to resize pictures as they are to big to post on Ebay or Auctivia - Please Help ?

Hiya , I have uploaded more than 200 photos onto my pc and now when i go to upload them onto Auctivia or Ebay they are to big { by far } in mb .......

what can I do ???/???


This has never happened before to me as I have used boyfriends camera this week to take over 300 photos of things to clear out and I still have more bin bags full of stuff to do .....and now i cant list any of them tonight as the sites wont let me upload pics :eek::eek::eek:


I wasnt sure weather to post this on Techie forum or here but I also wanted to know how to take my next lot of pics so this doesnt happen again as it is on auto settings not zoom etc and it is just a standard camera ???

If you're on windows then you can open them in paint, then click save as and on the file format dropdown select ".gif", that should make them smaller, or you could try the eBay basic uploader

And next time turn the picture resolution down

thanks will try the windows thing now

sorry to sound dumb what do you mean turn the resolution down please as it is just a standard camera and mine was alot better which worked fine :question:

Depends what camera you have, but I only use nikon, which on a basic one is just settings, and then megapixels

IrfanView is a good little program and will Batch convert the lot.

I use 'Gimp' it is so easy to use, and is free to download....

I so admire people that can use gimp- it's incomprehensible to me!

I prefer FastStone picture editor for resizing because you can do resizing in batches on it really easily. And it's a free programme.
