I have a couple of problems with my Laptop. The first one is that when I click on Firefox to open the Internet a box comes up with a link that I have to click on that says "choose the program you want to use to open the file"

The second problem is that when I try to play a game such as Solitaire a box pops up saying "application not found"

Can anyone help?

Have you removed anything recently? Have you changed anything on the system?

Go to
start/in the search box type in/system restore. Follow the on screen prompts restore to earlier when you know it was working.

I'm not sure how long it's been like that though, all I know is that it was more then three months ago.

Download the exe one, second row in, second down, you can save it to anywhere you prefer. Use Right-click - Save as option in your browser to download the fix.

Then

Unzip the fix and extract the .REG file. Right-click the REG file and choose Merge. Note that you need to be an administrator to apply these fixes.

Restart the machine

I will try that in the morning as i'm tired. Thanks guys for all your help, hopefully this will solve my problem.

you could have done it faster than it took you to post the response

if all your exe's are messed up, do a full scan with malwarebytes
