This is the latest from Jet2 - looks like they're not going to take money from your credit card without authorisation.
Government imposed Airport Departure Tax
Due to the UK Government imposed APD tax of an additional £5 per person, on all UK departing flights with effect from 1 February 2007, Jet2.com are in the process of contacting all customers (namely the person who's contact details were provided at the time of booking) to organise collection of this fee in advance of travel.
If you have purchased your Jet2.com flight(s) on or after 8 December 2006, for travel from 1 February 2007, the increased tax is included in your fare and no further payment is required. If you have purchased your Jet2.com flight(s) on or before 7 December 2006, for travel from 1 February 2007, the increased tax IS NOT INCLUDED in your fare and an additional payment is required before departure.
Please note that our system for collecting the additional tax involves contacting our customers in an order relating to their departure date. Therefore our call centre and sales desks are unable to assist with queries relating to this, in this instance. This will eliminate disruption at check-in therefore maintaining our smooth, stress free check-in process. In the event we cannot contact you prior to travel, you will need to pay this fee at check-in before you travel.
Thank you,
Gordon Brown

I can't find anything about ADT on the bmibaby website. Does anyone know if they are - like BMI - still undecided about whether and how to implement it?0

I was just about to ask the same question! In October I booked a couple of flights with bmibaby for a work colleague for next month.Madiran wrote:I can't find anything about ADT on the bmibaby website. As far as I can see the undernoted contradicts itself or do I assume that as my booking was made on 11 December I have nothing further to pay.
Do I also assume that any email I receive from Ryanair will be asking my permission to draw extra money. I was under the impression that they could not request extra money without my permission.
'What a minefield! We greatly regret that Ryanair has no alternative, but to act as the UK Chancellor's tax collector and in accordance with Article 4.2.2 of Ryanair's General Conditions of Carriage, all affected passengers will be advised via email of the additional tax amount that will be automatically charged to the credit card or debit card used to pay for their original booking. These credit/debit card transactions will take place over the next 2 weeks .
Please Note - If your flight booking was made on or after the 7th December 2006 then the increased Air Passenger Duty tax has already been collected by Ryanair and you have nothing further to pay...'0 -
