In response to Jonathan Davis appearing on BBC news today one poster offered this question "How long till his views become mainstream". (bearing in mind that JD has had the same view since 2002).

OK pimp, I have to agree with Graham that it would be good to keep this to one thread, and I think this threads title is actually broad enough to do nicely.
There's a multitude of quotes worth ridiculing on hpc on a daily basis.
This one could run, and run, and run........
“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Or, and this may be a bit of a radical point of view, if any of us want to read things from HPC we could read them on HPC?0 -

I think I agree with you, if I want to read something on the BBC same thing then?
No. The BBC is a news site, so it tends to have stories that we can discuss. Same for most websites. HPC is a forum and you tend to mainly just link to inane threads that don't really say much with the sole purpose of mocking them. If we all wanted to mock threads on HPC then we'd join that website and do just that.0 -

Even a tw4t like you manged a few more than that columbo.
Cleaver would be fine on HPC.
Woo Hoo, thanked by rewired!
Anyway, on the subject of shooting yourself in the foot, here's a response to a thread that geneer posted elsewhere regarding some of the more prolific posters on here:
"Is geneer capable of posting anything other than quixotic rants against invisible bulls"?0 -

:rotfl:The funny thing is how quickly your old bullish pal cletus
decided you guys were now invisible.
Naturally, given the song and dance you, heathcote and Rinoa made across thread after thread and page after page during your extended dramatic exits I thought the guys might like to know how you were getting on.
Apparently they don't much care.
Ah well.
You could do with taking a page out of their book eh.0 -
Thought I'd better link this HPC related thread here.
It really is an entertaining one.
