ashden wrote:Well my paperwork didn't arrive in the post this morning and PayPlan are calling in an hour. I know there's a probably a very good reason for it not turning up but it doesn't do my nerves any good when it's such a stressful time already. I couldn't get through to PayPlan to talk to anyone about it yesterday and I'm just worried that this is a sign of how things will go with them - promises to post things out but nothing turning up, not being able to get hold of the case advisor when I need to etc...
dont worry , when its all started up you can email stuff to them... alot quicker and more reliable

Well I've had the call and I'm feeling much better.
There's been some concern over the amount I pay for my hire purchase but as long as I can prove that that's the amount I have to pay it should be OK. I pay £207 a month by the way.
My justabank thing has been set up and I'm very impressed with it.
All the paperwork is being sent out today with a letter of authority that I need to sign and return.
So today's call was basically about how the plan will be set up and to get the justabank up and running.First DMP payment (Payplan) February 2007

As soon as they receive the signed letter from me they can go ahead and confirm the final balances. Once that's all been confirmed I need to send my surplus money to them - once they've received that they can contact the creditors with my offer. So I'm guessing it'll be another couple of weeks.First DMP payment (Payplan) February 2007

Thanks for all your great advice on this thread.
Can you explain what you mean about snowballing the rest? Am quite new to all this lark and not sure I understand 100%.
Do you mean as in do the snowball calculator and put in that they're all at 0% int and see what it comes up with?
Cheers

Have a look at this and see what you think. http://www.whatsthecost.com/snowball.aspx. If you get the interest frozen and you snowball you will get the costs down quicker. Does anyone know if I'm talking bollox here??

If there is no interest to pay then snowballing in its original sense becomes redundant, as it focuses on paying the highest interest firstNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130
