Money Making Scam (Bus Lane Fine x 2!)

Recently went into bradford city centre (i know, don't know why) - anyway, not knowing the area inadvertently took a wrong turn down a bus lane (sunday, traffic absolutely dead and no-one about) - just got a ticket through which i was expecting, although it's actually 2 tickets, one for 11.00am and one for 11.01am, on the SAME bus lane, one at the first part of it and one at the second part of it, however inbetween there are absolutely no places to turn off or get out of the bus lane, what did they expect me to do, reverse down a main road to get out of the bus lane? I hold my hands up to it and don't mind the £60 for the offence (£30 if paid within 14 days) - but i absolutely disagree with the fact that they are trying to charge me twice, i.e £120. I'm sure the fact that its the same road 100 yards between each other with no way to get off it gives me some ground to contest the second fine?

Was it in Market Street or Bridge Street?

BOTH! But thats the point, there's no turn off in-between, there is only bank street which is a one way street so you cant turn off down there, so surely what Bradford Council are saying by giving you two tickets is that they expect you to reverse down a main road to avoid a second ticket? Anyway, i've just found news article which clearly states that the PCN sent out by Bradford Council are completley un-enforcable (is that a word!?) based on the statement of grounds for appeal. Based on that i will be appealing, i don't mind paying the one, bearing in mind i did commit the "offence" but two for the same road where you have no option but to go down the second once comitting to the first is a little harsh. Thank you very much for the link to the consumer action forums, appreciate the help and will update with the outcome, however in between i have a trip to Majorca for 2 weeks so i arent worrying too much just now lol.

Slow down a bit and take some advice; the article could be wrong or out of date, and you may find there are even more grounds for appeal.
