Praise - Clarks Shoes

I bought a pair of ankle boots a few weeks ago that cost £90 (I used the 20% off voucher I received for doing the Race for Life so didn't pay that much :)) but a couple days ago I noticed that the zip on one boot would not stay up. I was passing the shop today so thought I'd go in to find out the best thing to do. I explained the problem, that I didn't have the receipt with me and asked if I brought in the receipt would they replace or send them off for repair. Their reply? Oh don't worry about the receipt, as it is just an exchange we'll give you a new pair now!

That is what I call customer service, well done Clarks. :j

My work shoes are from Clarks. They're ugly as sin, but because I walk funny, the heels on most shoes I buy are worn down to the point of needing to be chucked away in three months. The Clarks ones have lasted a couple of years and are still going.

Clarks definitely has its plus points.

Clarks are often expensive but it's usually money well spent.

  • I love Clarks shoes and boots. I have awful, manky and wide feet and they do the right width and half sizes too.

Have to admit the new boots replaced the old Clarks ones that had lasted three years (they had been resoled/heeled) but the old village cobblers closed so have kept them in the hope that I can find another that can renew them. Tight as cramp me :D

Clarks used to make shoes in Somerset.
Their workers paid their taxes to the Government, who gave some of this money to the EU.
The EU gave this money to Portugal who built factories at highly subsidised prices and gave subsidies to the operators of these factories to employ lots of local people cheaply.
    A number of these factories made shoes...............................need I go on ? :(:(
  • I bought 2 pairs of sandals from Clarks this summer and the both of of them cut my feet to ribbons, so much for comfort and they cost me a pretty penny too.
