  • its just a normal periodic check to make sure you are getting the correct benefits, nothing to worry about
  • Hi Welsh girl - I had one of those back in June ( should be an A2 form to fill in ) and came with a warning of loss of benefits if the form is incorrectly filled in with missing sections / or not sent back within the 3/4 week period. A very intimidating letter - mine came from the integrity centre in Hastings, I think others get them from Peterborough Integrity Centre.

I was convinced that I must have done something wrong and was under investigation. The end result was that I sent back the form and got a fairly quick response back to confirm no change of circumstances and confirmation of the amount they would be paying me.

I know its not easy to stay calm but my only advice to you is to get a friend to help you go through the many pages and fill it in meticulously before signing making sure its all correct. Stay strong ( easy to say I know ) and everything should be ok.

As far as I was able to find out - I believe the government are using these centres to send out review forms to all those on Income support that have other associated benefits relating to disabilities like DLA & Carers etc. Probably the aim is to scare or shame people by making them feel guilty for not being able to work - the end result is that many will become intimidated and might come off benefits or not wish to claim disabilities/carers meaning the government save lots of money.
  • Thanks for both of you for replies. i shall try not too worry i filled one form in but filled it wrong so went to the jobcentre and got another one.
