I think the flavour's very good (see confession below*) and you only use what you need, so there's no waste, whatever's left keeps well in the cupboard, or even in a sealed container in the freezer if you're ever lucky enough to come across a catering packTo Swan and others - is the powder as good as the cans? I mean, the cans themselves vary enormously in how thick and how creamy etc etc. Some don't taste of much, some are lovely. But is the powder as good as a good can, if you see what I mean?
you control the thickness by altering the proportions of powder & water, there's usually a guide on the pack to get you started
all that said, we all like different things, for instance I can't stand the blocks as I find them really greasy, but lots of people like them, so perhaps try a small pack of powder & see how you get along with it
if you do try it, make sure it's coconut milk powder you get & not the fine coconut powder
*one downside is that if you're a coconut fan anyway, the powder's delicious to eat straight out of the pack

did you notice they're 165ml cans? works out at the equivalent of £1.19 per 400ml/standard can, but that's still better than some of the expensive ones mentioned earliershoppaholic_returns wrote: »Just bought this, a very good deal! Had this brand in the past and its been fine, thanks x:beer:

My Tescos is huge, they have about 3 different brands of tinned of coconut milk in the Ethnic/World food section alone...ALWAYs much cheaper at around 50-59p per can. Occasionally there is a little added water if you check the ingredients but not always, and consistently cheaper than the branded tins.

Echo this- I almost got some from the "branded" ethnic food section once- at almost £2 Amoy? then noticed that the lesser known branded section had it at ~ 25% of the price! I can't always get it, but when I can, I get a few tins to stash!0 -
