I'm having problems connecting to internet - says cannot connect and when I click on diagnose it comes up under gateway diagnostic with the follwing message
The following proxy configuration is being used by IE: automatically detect settings: Disabled Automatic configuration script: Proxy server: http=http://www-cache.orangehome.co.uk:8080;ftp=http://www-cache.orangehome.co.uk:8080 Proxy Bypass list:<local>
I have a fsnet.co.uk address and received an email from them saying I needed to restore me account and I seem to have encountered this problem after I clicked on the link?
Any ideas anyone please?
Many thanks

Do you need to be using a proxy server? I wouldn't have thought so (note no expert, however).
In Internet Explorer, go Tools>Options>Connections tab>click "LAN Settings" box and uncheck "Use a Proxy Server">Ok>Ok.
Then try again. The above is for IE6 (all I have at work) but will be in the same/similar place in later IE versions.0 -
