Have you opened your account recently? As RBS and Natwest were doing an offer on cashback on debit card purchases for the first 6 months from account opening, could it be that?
Debt free and staying that way!

I guess plenty of people who opened accounts during the offer period were unaware of it as it was hardly getting people battering the doors down!

It would be the cashback rewards, i opened my account with natwest a couple of months ago and this is the same thing that shows up on my statement.

You get 2% cashback on all debit card transactions within the first 6 months, up to £125.

It's quite obvious that this account has been mis-sold if people weren't aware of the cashback.

As such, all of these customers should be put back in to the position that they would have been in without the account and made to repay their cashback to the bank.

    Disgraceful.
