Coatex Dog Shampoo

Hi there, has anyone used the Coatex Aloe and Oatmeal shampoo?

We've just used the last of the medicated Coatex that we got for our dog when he had a rash in the summer, it worked a treat and his rash has gone completely, although he's still an itchy little thing, I think out of habit partly now, I was wondering if I should switch to the Aloe & Oatmeal rather than keep loading him up with the medicated.

Any thoughts?

  • Not tried this one so can't advise but my dog also has problems with itchy skin/bald/scabby patches etc and this product has been great

http://www.aromesse.com/skin-problem/Dermacton_Shampoo_Bar.html - lasts for ages as it's a bar and re-hardens after use

There's also a cream which helps with stubborn patches http://www.aromesse.com/skin-problem/Dermacton_Cream_for_itchy_dogs.html

Thanks ashes, I might give that a go. Does it smell nice?

Winter is coming, hopefully he will improve, he usually does.

  • It has the most gorgeous smell - I love it when he's had a bath!:D

  • Just been for a smell of the soap and can't quite describe it - it's lovely and "fresh" smelling a bit like eucalyptus.

He's really needing a bath as has a few scabs on his tummy (always starts this time of year for some reason) but I've not been able to give him one for a couple of weeks - I've got a bandage & stitches on my foot (thankfully due out/off tomorrow so I'll try to do him then).
