Car Radio Encoding Service at Dealer - how much should it cost?

Hi all,

My friend has a Peugeot 306 with a Clarion PU-2471 stereo.

It is a VIN encoded stereo and can only be sorted out at a dealer or radio decoding service place.

Does anyone know the best place to go around the Birmingham area and also how much my friend should expect to pay.

Her local garage is quoting £170 and I want to know if that's a good price.

well £170 can get you a decent after market which will make the factory clarion look poverty spec, tell her to go back and say I can get a badass head unit fitted for what your charging for a code, had you gave me a decent price I would be giving you my service and repair jobs just to p155 him off

Talk to a main dealer, normally about £15 ish for radio code if its onfile and the radio hasn't been changed.

A M/C /L ****** code is always free ( and normally supplied within an hour)
V codes cant be done here but we can give advice /site who charge less than a fiver

no need radio code was for a customer i got it free £25 is what they charge, if you know the guys in parts they normally give you codes, part diagrams for free:j
