Bad Communication?

Options
I've just had my stars marked down for bad communication. :(
Thing is, I DO communicate all the way throughout the process.
When a bidder wins, I send them an email to say thanks for bidding and winning and tell them when I will post the item to them.
Once it's posted, I mark as dispatched...doesn't that automatically send them a message to tell them so?
I have also been marked down for posting time, but I always post next day (I live in a remote area and the post office closes at 1pm, I always state this on my ads though) so I literally can't post any quicker.
Has this just been a 'grumpy' buyer, or are they really thinking I should communicate more with them? As for the posting times, I don't know what else I could do. Can't post when the post office is closed, obviously!
"Ignore the eejits...it saves your blood pressure and drives `em nuts!" :D

Sometimes you just get a grumpy buyer. I noticed last time I ran my stats that a buyer has left me 3* for despacth and for communication- yet I did nothing different for them than I usually do. They probably just had a bad day.

  • Maybe they marked you down because you sent them too many emails! Every now & again you will get a buyer who will mark down your stars for reasons only known to them, fortunately they ae few & far between(fingers crossed!)
  • Yeah I have had similar happen to me, you just take it on the chin and carry on, you cant please everyone all the time sounds like u just got a grumpy buyer!
  • I know this isn't exactly the same as your issue, but about communication, I seem to remember someone on here recently mention that constant requests for feedback can be really annoying etc.
The general feeling on that thread (I would say) was that people didn't like too much. It's worth noting that people seem to get annoyed quite easily!

As you know, eBay have automated the after sales messages and you may be duplicating messages too much.

And if a buyer leaves lower communication stars because they feel they've had 'too many emails from eBay', what can you do?

Or, as others have suggested, buyers leave stars according to their mood that day, nothing to do with your wonderful efforts.:T
