Hiya,

I picked up my new car on Saturday so it's time to sell my old one :(

Is there anyone in the trade that can help me with a price to pitch it at? It's a 2000, V reg BMW 323Ci. It's in pretty good nick externally considering it's age and fully loaded with full leather, electric everything, BMW sat nav, 6 CD changer, air con, parking sensors and a Snooper BUT it has 150,000 miles on the clock!

The highest we were offered trade in was £3700 but everyone said we'd get better if we sold it privately. But how much!

I also wondered if I'd be better selling it in London? I'm in the Midlands where it's supposed to be cheapest to buy a car!

Just bought a T plate 318i will 95k on the clock for £3500 so I would say about £4500 based on the fact the car is a coupe with a high spec. BMWs will always do high mileages so many people wont care abot the 150000 miles. My dads 5-series is almost at 150000 and it drives perfectly!

    Brilliant thanks.

Woby_Tide those are part ex prices so I'm guessing that I can get a bit higher than those?

A great comparable for me balsingh and a bit of moral support! Thank you very much for that. There's not many of these cars about so it's a bit of a struggle for me.

Any thoughts on whether I would be better selling it in the London Autotrader?

Just don't be too greedy. As already suggested check autotrader and take it from there.

On Autotrader people will bump up their prices to allow room for negotiate. The prices stated may well be not what is paid...
