When would you consider switching your car/home insurance provider?

When you get a cheaper deal, regardless of how cheaper?

When its at least X amount cheaper?

Claimed (or known via friends) better customer service?

others?

I get prices from the comparison websites every time the policy comes up for renewal, I wouldn't bother switching for a few pounds but so far, everytime I've checked there's been at least £50 or more to be saved by switching.

Most insurers seem to actively penalise loyalty.

    Every year.

I can always get a much better price by moving.

Not to the cheapest, but one with a name I recognise, and uk customer service.

Loyalty is penalised if you stay with existing companies normally.
