JSA-Any point me going on it?

Hi All
I have been on incapacity benefit for a couple of years now, thankfully the illness that prevented me from working is now pretty much sorted (hooray!) so it's time to get a job (hopefully).
Thing is I am on an early (ill health) pension from my previous job that means I don't actually get any benefit from either IB or JSA, what I do get are my NI contributions paid. I have checked and found that I have now paid enough NI to get a full state pension on retirement.
So, is there any point me switching over to JSA while I look for a job? As understand it, I wont get any money and now I don't need my NI contributions made up. Will the job centre provide me with any useful services / training courses / funding for training etc?
many thanks

In a word - no.
Possibly worth it for things that offer concessions to the "unwaged" - concerts possibly, cinemas perhaps, classes at local colleges mebee.
If you do sign-on though, you will have to jump through all the hoops, rightly or wrongly."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
