Burtons Haven't Charged My Account ?

Options
Hello !

I ordered some clothes from Burtons online on the 20th September, The items where delivered and signed for this morning, However i have just checked my Natwest online banking to see that they have not charged my account, Both the Available and Account balances are the same !

I paid by Debit Card (I thought it was immediately processed), Order was for around £170.

Can anyone shed any light on this ?

Many thanks :)

Ahh thanks ! I've always thought it was instantly debited from your Available balance when paid for by Debit card ! where its pending to be taken from the account balance.

Just hope they hurry up and take it.

It does come off your available balance instantly, but with Natwest the authorisation drops off after 48 hours, so it makes it look like the payment hasn't been taken, but it will still come out
Debt free and staying that way!
  • They can claim payment for up to six years :(
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)
  • they can claim for a debit card payment for up to 90 days after it's made not 6 years.

It comes off the available balance if burtons notify the bank, if they dont they still have to be paid but it doesnt come off your available balance, a major source of bank charges

The debt is claimable for 6 years - you still have to pay whether by debit card or other means so please do not spend the money.
  • very true jones, i was talking of the debit card transaction in itself.
