Fob off Letter

I have recently sent a copy of MSE template letter to MBNA, Capital One and HFC Bank requesting a copy of my credit agreement. I have received a response from Capital One & HFC I assume MBNA’s response will be the same. “ As you are aware the bank is not required to provide information under section 78 of the Consumer Credit Act when a credit card agreement has been closed with a nil balance”

I feel that this is a fob off letter however, I am not to sure what my next move is.

    Hi there

You can still make the reclaim on the PPI without the need of the agreement, if you have the account number then continue to make a reclaim, you can still also make a reclaim on a settled/paid off account.

Complete the reclaim questionnaire on step 3, send and keep a copy for yourself as well, good luck.

No - it is quite correct.

Why did you want a copy of the credit agreement?

Why did you want a copy of the credit agreement?

Read the PPI section on this website and then you will find out why.

I received a letter from MBNA the other day and they basically said the same thing. They also cashed the £1 cheque as well - cheeky sods. I'm not sure what to do next so I am going to be watching this thread.

I HAVE read the PPI section.

If, before sounding off at me, you had bothered even to read Di's post on this thread, let alone the many others on the board, you would have realised that it as NOT needed to make a complaint about PPI.
