Help downloaded wrong Garmin updates-USA instead of Europe

I am off on a trip to europe tommorow and borrowed a Garmin Nuvi Satnav from my sis. I decided to update the maps and spent 4 hours updating it last night. However when I switched it on today I realised that I had loaded USA maps instead. It still has favourites and recent selections showing as UK and Europe but when I try to put in a new destination it asks for state /province. Anyone any ideas how I might be able to rectify this by morning?? Would be most grateful for any help.

Did you install any software to update the Garmin?

On my Garmin if you are putting in post code/address for a different country you have to change to that country, even Wales and Scotland you have to change to

I did an update from the Garmin website and obviously chose USA maps instead of European. When I plugged it in tonight the website recognised the serial number and it said I had only downloaded part of the download. I went to my local Halfords this evening and the young manageress and young man at the till had a good look. They showed me that the data for Europe is there and some of the favourites saved ( including our route for tommorow) are still there. They gave me the the helpline number for Garmin so I will call them in the morning. In the meantime any suggestions welcome

Does it say what the other part of the download includes?

Does it let you choose the European maps if they are not included in the unfinished download?
