Just been using a PC computer at a friend's house. Went to write an email and the writing was really difficult.
Pressed keys and it would take a few seconds for the letters to appear on the monitor screen. Spacebar took seconds to respond too.
Would you think it is an keyboard that has come to the end of its life??
Or could it possibly be a virus???
Or just a sluggish computer??? Wish I could speed it up.
It does take a few moments to open new windows ( well longer than I am used to).
Suggestions will be gratefully accepted.
PS keyboard plugged into USB and no battery.
And apologies for posting this post in the middle of the wrong thread a few minutes ago. Deleted it and came here:(

Could be anything. You haven't said if it's always like that.
First step would be to restart the computer and see if the problem remains. Second would be to check the Device Manager. Third would be to make sure there isn't a silly amount of software (particularly security/antivirus software) running. Fourth you could check for malware (e.g. using Malwarebytes).
A HijackThis log would give us more information to go on:

If convenient you could try an alternative keyboard, or an alternative USB slot - but by the sounds of it it's a general problem of slow PC. For that there's already a stickied thread0
