This may depend on what time of year you get married, but have you maybe thought about a ski resort? My sister and brother in law (neither of whom are skiers) got married in the December and went to a ski resort in France for their honeymoon.

We knew we'd be tight budgetwise for going on honeymoon, plus OH can't get much time off work, so we're doing our 'proper' honeymoon next year. We aren't having a wedding gift list as such but have asked for Thomas Cook vouchers so we'll book after the wedding knowing just what we can then run to. As you're already in Spain can you just do something there and then still do Mauritius or Maldives but just defer it?0
