Practical test question

My lad failed his test today with no miners but one major by going round a mini roundabout. anyway, thats life. I cannont get an early test date its November on the gov. site is there another site that I can use and just pay a bit extra to get a earlier date?

Just keep going on the gov website and grab any cancellation that appears.

Best time to call up is either first thing in the morning or last thing in the evening as that is when they will get cancellations through and update the system.

  • I would spend ages refreshing the screen, going back and forth...the cancellations do pop up intermittently.

Failed for going around a mini roundabout? Any more detail on that? She did do/should he have done?

My not so little one has just started lessons. Oh dear im dreading the words...I passed can i have a car please.

Gimme £200 and i will sit on the computer 24/7 looking for cancellations for you, bargain eh.

Different test centre maybe a good idea depending on the areas the instructor took them, Maybe not such a good
idea taking them to an unknown area.

My test (many years ago) i drove through several unmarked crossroads, After the test he said i had passed through
one a little too quickly for his liking but as visibility was good and nothing around he gave me the benefit of the doubt.

Been having a play with these Theory and Hazard test DVD's. 1st try i barely passed when i reviewed the video's i
was clicking too early for the hazard. Spotted and clicked before the scoring section started.

  • What you do is you book the first available test in November so you have at least got one. Then you keep checking the system for cancellations. If one comes up then you just transfer your booking to it.

Also the DSA release more booking slots depending on how busy they get. As I remember when booking tests that a whole weeks worth of test slots would suddenly pop up for 3 weeks time when the earliest test was 7 weeks the day before.
