    hi there

you'll always find it more difficult to negotiate if you really really want a house.

have you already negotiated the price, asked for extras to be included, considered part exchange?

i may be wrong, but unless they have lots of people wanting the house too (?unlikely just after christmas) then they will probably want your custom.

often they have targets to meet and deadline dates - you would think as long as you completed by the end of the financial year then they would be happy.

    good luck with it all

Thanks for all of the help. We would love to go down the part exchange route but they would not offer it until the house hits the roof stage. Even then they were iffy as we are in a different area to the new property.

We've instructed an estate agent today so we're just hoping that we can get an offer in on our current property ASAP.

We're also speaking to the bank about a BTL mortgage tomorrow. Don't really want to go down that route but it's a decent alternative.
  • Now deffo looking at the buy-to-let as a plan B. I'm clueless on my rights, responsibilites and payments/taxes that I would have to deal with as a landlord.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for some info? All i seem to find is adverts!
