HSBC internet loan PPI

My OH is going to reclaim his PPI for his loan but upon receiving his information from his SARS request HSBC have not included the signed credit agreement, the letter says
WIth regards to a copy of the loan agreement, this is not held in a structured filing system I.E. in files referenced with you name or account details and is therefore outside the scope of the data protection act '98. We are satisfied that this procedure meets with the Information Commissions requirements.
He remembers doing it online the receiving the paperwork to sign but he has no evidence on this, and therefor doesn't know what reason he can give to validate his reclaim.
Is it worth him reclaiming still ?
I received my SARS info from NATWEST and received everything from my signed credit agreement to every statement from opening the account till closure.
HSBC have sent him one long printout of his account statements which are really hard to read and are not in the usual statement format which one would usually receive.

Hi there
You can still make a reclaim on the PPI.
Many have still had success in making reclaims with the minimum paperwork or none at all, but known ppi was sold and realised they have been mis sold.
So give it a go anyway.
Just complete the reclaim questionnaire on step 3 below, send and keep copies for yourself as well.
If you did want to try to get hold the agreement, maybe your local branch will hold these details.
Good luck.
