Thank you Any! That looks super!
  • That recipe looks fab Any and I have all in the ingredients in my cupboard :j ,
  • Massive thanks to everyone. We made the cherry cake and russian apple cake for school and both were soooooo very easy to do. My 6yr old made the batter for the apple cake while I did the cherry cake. Both cakes went down a storm with children and teachers and not a crumb was left on the plates. I had all the ingredients in the store cupboard and freezer so didn't have to spend a penny :j . I've also made the salad and fried pastries for tea for us at home and think i'll be experimenting with more russian recipes. Been stuck in a food rut for way too long, this has given me the incentive to try something different.:o
  • Next recipe is going to be the honey cake, have no honey in at the moment so next payday will be baking it :p

    Oh please do!!
I don't think you need any expensive honey, I only get Tesco's own for less then couple of quit a jar (last time I think it was £1.25 or something..). Especialy for baking.

And don't forget to leave it for some time (24 hrs recommended) for the cream to make it's way through the layers.. so it should last long enough for picture!!:-))
