Freedom finance

Hi
I have just recieved a letter from the Fscs telling me that I have a claim on freedom finance for mis-selling ppi but I need to provide evidence of dealings with them. Unfortunatly I don't have anything as the loan was taken and repaid years ago It says in the letter that I can contact the firm to get the originals but they are no longer trading I have been given another number by the people that own the name now but no-one is answering any suggestions I am new to all this.

With the broker no longer active, whoever the lender was, they will have the details, so you write to them for your information.
Who was the lender?

Freedom Finance were the lender but it is Wimslow Financial services that are the underwriter and they have gone under.

I had the same letter, freedom finance was the broker and the people who i actually had the loan with was Paragon personal finance, they are still available and like you i had no paperwork, i phoned them up when i got the letter, i did not have the account number, but they found me with my name and address and managed to pull the files up, they sent them to me quite quickly and i sent off the application form yesterday to deloittes, so just keeping my fingers crossed now.
