Only in flat for 6 months - worth changing supplier?

Hello,

I move around quite a lot, and am usually in a place for 6-9 months. Currently I'm on a 6 month contract. Is it even worth looking at a cheaper gas/elec supplier, or may as well I just leave it to what it currently is (as I usually do). I'm not sure how long changes take to kick in, for example.

When you first move to a property you usually end up being put on the current supplier's standard tariff. Chances are your current supplier would have a cheaper tariff that you could move to, so I'd at least look into that. Moving suppliers would likely allow you to save more, but you'd be best to use a comparison website to get an idea of how much you could save and then decide if you think it is woth the hassle. The fact that the period of your current lease will cover the winter months is more likely to make it worth you while.
