cancelled my floristry course, didn't want to, although i lost the £10. It would have cost me between £10 and £20 a week for flowers. Did i do the right thing.

Yes! You can always do this again. When you're able to pay for it out of savings you'll enjoy it more........

Set up standing orders to pay off my credit cards - both more than the minimum payment.

Cancelled insurance on second (unused) car

Yesterday I unexpectedly sold said car - was going to scrap it - for £125!

I'm about to ring credit card company to cancel PPI as it's costing me around £20 a month!

Renewed my house insurance with the post office through mutual points. Got 3025 (which equates to £25 cash) points for the transaction, plus the post office gave £50 in postal orders for being a new customer. Also the insurance was £36 cheaper than my renewal quote. So the total saving was £111. How chuffed am I. Before I found this site I would probably have just let the renewal run on.

So thanks to everyone who contributes

I bought my lunch into work again today (did it once last week for the first time in ages) and intend to do that every day this week :j

Just about to call the letting agency from our old flat to ask for our deposit back - we were promised it before Christmas and need it to buy furniture for our new house.

I managed to get telewest to connect me at my mums when i move next weekend rather than me lose the rest of my contract and still have to pay. But... also got them to drop it to the 2 for £20 rather than 3 for £30.

I made a veggie bolagnese that would feed 8! - total cost £3.50.

Emptied all my cupboards and threw out the rubbish, took stock of what i have...

And my ebay auctions are bid up to £40! - friends have announced they are coming to visit so Ive decided that whatever the ebay ends at is the budget for food and lots of wine for when they come... I was panicing about how to afford it.

  • I also took my lunch into work. I also listed 5 things on ebay that I've been meaning to do for ages and I've resisted buying computer games for my son as he got heaps for christmas. Not that I wanted to buy them, but he was asking for them.

I did Quidco clicks and Pigsback quizzes. Supper was leftover chicken from yesterday's roast with noodles from the store cupboard (I WILL use up everything in my cupboards one day) and I also made a chicken stock with the carcass.
