Nat West Payout Timescale

After a long hard slog since August 2010 we are finally at the stage that RBS are in the process of calculating refunds on 3 ppi policies (premiums plus 8%) and as a bonus we have a fourth policy we didnt know about!!!. They have told me this will take up to 8 weeks from the 8th September. Has anyone else got to this stage and received payment any quicker than 8 weeks from acceptance and do they provide figures first and then you have to wait again for payment? Please can someone enlighten me as to how things go from here?

Thanks.

  • Morning and congratulations on your success!
My accept letter was received by RBS on 8th Sept and when I spoke to them last week I was told 28 working days and there was no delays in payouts. I only had one loan and I still have an RBS account so it should be straightforward. Reading posts on other threads RBS/Natwest seem to be paying out fairly quickly.

    Cheers.
  • Thanks for that. We also still have a Nat West account so I presume they will pick this up and put payment directly into our bank account, not sure as our acceptance forms were sent by the FOS? Did they give you an option to pay you by cheque?
