As my daughter had her laptop stolen just over a week ago she remembered that her msn messenger was on automatic sign in, she didnt have to put a password in. So we changed it straight away but it just occured to me, was the auto sign in a setting on that laptop that would still auto sign in without a password even though we changed the password on this computer at home?
She had to put the old password in to change it so if anyone did get in they couldnt change it as they wouldnt know the original one. We just want to be sure no one is getting into her mail even now with auto sign in on that laptop

I wouldn't have thought so, but if you've got a computer at home you can test it yourself. Set up auto sign on Messenger and check that it works, then change the hotmail password via hotmail and see if messenger still signs in.0

No the password has been changed so they cant access it, when it auto signs in it checks the username and password, so you dont have a prob!0

Once you change the password on one computer it is changed for all computers. I change mine frequently and swap from laptop to desktop and if I forget to change it on both I can't log in.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........
