Thanks everyone - Costco would be great but it's £50 to become a member. Gah. Hadn't even thought of Freecycle or Ebay. I'm nowhere near Leeds, findingmyownway, but that's a sweet offer. Thank you!0

My partner has details as he used to work in the waste management industry where most things have a value. He works away but is back at the weekend so I will ask him for the contact info and get back to you on Monday.
It does apply to high volume though so you would need a storage area or somewhere a large collection bin could be placed.0 -
Please please please do not pay for boxes! Go to your local HomeBase/B and Q/Wine Merchant and they will be all too pleased to offload their boxes to you. Don't scrimp on packing tape. Buy good quality stuff and they will keep your boxes nice and strong. :money:0

But every time I asked a gorilla they looked at me blankly...Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.
Actively hunting down the person who invented the imaginary tenure, "share freehold"; if you can show me one I will produce my daughter's unicorn0 -
Hi findingmyown way. Do you still have lots of boxes. If so I would be grateful if you'd consider letting me take some off your hands. I can come over & collect 1 evening but would ideally need some before the weekend. Anything you could spare would be appreciated but its ok if you have disposed of them elsewhere.
Thanks0 -
I assume you're moving yourself rather than employing a removals company? If you're using a company you may find, as I did, that they don't include boxes etc in their quotes. However, I found that some companies want to do all they can to secure the business, so I did a bit of haggling and managed to get my boxes included in the price. They delivered them for free the same day and are solid, double-walled ones that will easily stand up to a second use if I ever move again (the stress of this move means it'll be a very long time before I do it again!).0
