Have you checked to see if you university student union has a book sale on?

To a large extent however, it's going to depend on what subject and topics you are doing e.g. second hand law books are almost useless because it changes so fast, whereas physics is a relatively static subject where the formulae for e.g. projectile motion hasn't changed in the last few decades.
  • Hi
    Only quick reply, sorry.
Try Abe Books (can't do links) got some of my books on Accountancy & Finance from there, much cheaper. Otherwise, just google and see what comes up. Had some text books sent from overseas that have worked out much cheaper!!

  • PlayTrade or Amazon Marketplace for both students selling their books second hand and wholesalers selling brand new copies undercutting the main websites.

Agree with the suggestion about seeing if the student union is selling books on, or possible the subject's society - I did English at uni and the English Society held a 'book amnesty' where you could bring along your old books and swap them.

Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")
Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")
  • It's maybe worth looking up the facebook group for your uni and course - our English and Drama group is full of people selling last years books :)
