Dreamweaver - Help!

I used to have a legit but ancient copy of Dreamweaver but following a major virus problem on my computer I had to reinstall everything and of course I couldn't find the serial number for Dreamweaver or the original installation disc.

I have a website built with Dreamweaver that I need to be able to maintain, what are the options?

Any freeware alternatives to Dreamweaver that are compatible enough for me to maintain my website without rebuilding it? Or sources of old versions of Dreamweaver free or cheap?

I've been using a trial of CS5.5 as an interim measure but it has now expired - please help me avoid spending ££££££!

Thanks :)

  • Whilst dreamweaver has some "features" what it outputs is, almost exclusively, text files. Given its an old copy I assume you aren't using it for ASP.Net websites and so any HTML editor will be "compatible" with whats currently up on your webserver if you download it.
