I have bought my hubby a new laptop, specifically wanted something with good graphics to satisfy his Star Wars gaming! Anyway, it has Norton 360 on it, I am having a play with it tonight before I give it to him, and am I glad I did, I am unable to get on Facebook or Hotmail, 2 of the sites I know he will want to access. Hotmail fails to open at all, and Facebook only shows the top blue bar and the bottom text, nothing in between.
Any clues as to what I could have a look at before taking it back to the shop, I would be mortified if I was doing something wrong, but I can't think what it could be. Something to do with Flash????
I can get on iPlayer, MSE and other sites, so it's a mystery....
Thanks in advance

get rid of Norton - its a system hog, is difficult to manage, costs too much. There are many free alternatives which are as good if not better.
Uninstall Norton, and choose between Avast, Avira or AVG free - plenty of blogs on this site with lots of opinions.
Once you have gor rid, hopefully your teething probs will go away.0 -
try firefox or opera!!

Almost certainly.
re. Norton, I'm not a fan of spending money but, it's generally accepted that the latest versions are perfectly adequate. They also fare pretty well in the technical reviews/tests.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
can you get to filehippo.com ?? If so, try downloading flash from there under browsers and plugins section....or try this link

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

Yup, although it can still be a little over-zealousBut in general, it's a much better beast than it used to be. Still wouldn't have it on any of my machines though...
