unable to withdraw money from counter HSBC

Well i didn't ask them to use an emergency withdrawal receipt, i wanted to withdraw £19 by whichever means possible, and assumed this would be possible, as it is in Natwest and other banks i have used.0

Just out of interest, which branch did you go into?0

I went into the Fulham Broadway branch which is quite a large branch, although only have two counters.
Smartiedriver- i'm concerned if HSBC do not issue receipts with these types of withdrawals, say for example i had withdrawn £19, but actually £20 was debited, i would have no proof at all that i wasn't given £20. So i'm wondering whether , actually, the cash is the 'receipt', seems like it could cause problems.0
