I do get DLA for him - HRC and HRM, but he has several disabilities and requires a lot of care. He also has quite a few problems with walking and uses a wheelchair.0

Hypermobility can vary widely in severity. Many people have mild hypermobility which just causes a few aches and pains - they won't get DLA - but some people have very severe cases which have a terrible impact on their lives. In those cases, they'd be most likely to be under the care of a rheumatologist who would be able to back up any claim for DLA.
If your child has care or mobility needs then it's worth applying for DLA, but be aware that they will expect medical evidence to support your claim.0 -

I agree. I'm not quite sure what advice the OP needs as it is not clear, but this is the second thread by the OP tonight that mentions DLA for somebody else in the household.0 -
Same here. DS2 has hypermobility, but it is along with several other disabilities, and while he does receive DLA, it is due to the combination of these disabilities, not just the hypermobility. And every person is different - it all depends on their care needs.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0
