Take them to your local Oxfam.
Even Music Magpie turn some items down, so you will be lucky to get a price for them tbh.
I even see book banks at my local tip - I wonder whether they are just pulped or something because stuffed in a bin like that they can't be in any decent condition when they come out
.
You'd be surprised how much decent stuff we (I run a charity bookshop) get from book and music banks. However there are also the inevitable phone books, argos catalogues and single shoes for some reason...
Anything we can't use we recycle for money, it's not much but more profitable than just dumping them.0 -

Good to hear they are being used for something other than pulp.
On the subject of single shoes, you should see the battery recycling bin at our local town centre Sainsbury's. Full of cr*p and looks like it hasn't been emptied in a while."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

There's also bookmooch.com
Works on simillar principle to greenmetropolis as I've used both. But you get credits to "buy" other books from other users on the site. Good if you want to swap your books for other books rather than just have the cash.0
