Best Electricity Deals for New Homeowner
I'm about to move out and buy my first place, and I'm looking around for the best deals on everything. The only real snag I've hit is Electricity and (possibly) Water - there's no Gas in the apartment so I can ignore that.
When I've tried to use the comparison sites and calculators they request current usage and/or current company and tariff. The current tenant of the property has moved out and I'm looking to buy the place off his landlord, so I understand that the Electricity and Water will have been cancelled so I can pick whoever I want when I move in (though I might be wrong on that and the whole point be moot).
Now, I have no idea what my usage level is, but I'd hazard a guess at 'not much' as I'll be on my own and I will be avoiding the electric heaters as much as possible! If they have cancelled their current contracts there won't be a current tariff either.
What's the best course of action to find the best deal if I really don't know what I'll use and there's nothing to compare it to?

well first off you`ll have to go with the current supplier for electric , you`ll need to setup an account - after which you can move to someone else; as for water - again usually only 1 company supplys an area so you`ll have to use them as well0

Ha, I figured it might be something like that.
That seems a bit annoying.0
