Do ask for written confirmation. I thought I'd closed an account once and realised months later that it was still open.

Yes, I would ask for written confirmation that the balance is now zero and the account is closed.

Brilliant! Doesn't it feel fantastic getting rid of a card! Good luck with the next one xx

    Nothing left!
  • well done!!!!

Be careful though. I remember cutting up a card years ago, pre mse, when I decided enough was enough. It didn`t stop me looking the number up on my statements and using the `virtual` card on telephone purchases. I realised that I was only kidding myself so I actually closed the cc account after that.

It is fantastic once you get over the debt hurdle and onto the savings ladder. My mum always said that money makes money and she was right

You should feel very proud Mrs Bellamy. You have done a good thing.

Sounds like the buzz you've got from killing this demon will help keep you going to conquer the rest.

Keep it up and you'll be surprised how fast they go.
