Can recommend the Forestry Commission sites - very natural sites, but lovely areas. Reasonable facilities - good price, usually with shop on site and childrens play area.
Will try to find web link for you."A simple life freely chosen is a source of strength. Do not be pursuaded into buying what you do not need or cannot afford." Quaker Faith & Practice 1.02.410 -
we went camping in numerous places last summer, but our best trip by far was to tenby. i wrote quite a bit about it here if you want a nosey.
other than that, i can highly recommend the sites in the forest of dean. decent facilites (as most of them are caravan club affiliated) and a great location.
best thing to do though is to decide on an area, and ask for campsites specific to that area, otherwise you'll end up with recommendations for here, there and everywhere
