Writing (not wording) on invites /placecards

I did our invites, envelopes and thankyous using a mail merge in word.
You just insert tags into the document where the name, address etc will be, then populate a mini-database with all the info.
Then you just press "print" and it spits them all out.
It depends on the stationary and the printer, but it shouldn't be too hard to print. The only thing my printer struggled with were the thankyou cards - that had a window in for a picture, the window kept on catching. Some of the envelopes we had to feed in one at a time - but still a lot faster (and neater) than faffing with stamps etc.0 -
Another vote for Word here too - I did my daughter's invites, place cards (bought from a hotel stationer's who sent a template too!) and sticky labels for the invites and thank you cards too, and used the same font etc for the table plan.
It worked so well and got so many compliments I did the same for our wedding a couple of years later! :rotfl::j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
