Hmmm! Waffle makers. I have had this one and now have a Tefal one (French one as they don't make it for the UK market!). The trouble with this one is that I personally don't like those wafer wafflers. You know - the thin ones? I like a proper waffle with depth - at least 1cm. The one you've shown there you get one massive pancake type thing and break it into pieces. No chance of having any maple syrup ooze into it, making into scrummy!
Thanks, you have answered my query (about the depth of the waffle). i suspected it would only make crispy thin waffles which simply will not do.

May I ask how you where you managed to get a deep waffle maker from please?

P.S. it was the donought maker I am most interested in. just wondered if it truly was non-stick, non-messy and easy recipes to make doughnuts

Hi I have a doughnut maker although not that one (mine is a Simpsons one I got one christmas!). Only used it a few times but only because I just don't have room for anything in my kitchen!
I found it very very easy to use, very simple recipe for the doughnuts and yes it was easy to clean , doughnuts don't stick at all just a quick wipe over with kitchen towel.
  • A doughnut maker was on my Christmas list, but I didn't get one. just had a look on ebay and the Prima and Hinari ones are the cheapest. Might have a look at Kelkoo or something and might treat myself next month.

I have a really nice Petra waffle maker, my Uncle who lives in the states got it for me last year for Christmas. They make waffles at a nice, thick depth and are really easy to use and clean :)

Like ToxicLemon I have both types of waffle makers. Basically as said above they make different end products but both are very nice. No complaints here!

I bought my sister the doughnut maker from Tchibo a couple of years ago.

Don't think shes ever had problems with sticking doughnuts, and it came with some recipies to try.

I seem to remember the chocolate chip ones were good!!

They aren't greasy like the ones you buy from market stalls (you know the mini ones you get), but a bit dryer. Very nice though!!

It's got grill, waffle maker & toasted sandwich plates, quite looking forward to trying waffles out.

I have a Tchibo one, but not like the one you linked too. It is more like the Lakeland one. Sad to say I have never got round to using it! Mainly because I dont really have any waffle recipes. Anyone got any foolproof ones? I like the taste of the ones you buy, so anything on those lines would be great.
