Wow. That's a lot less than i would have guessed and that'd be fine for me to take my time a little over selling. Another impossible question, but how long is a reasonable time to expect a private sale to take?
They used to give you 30 days grace/free insurance before the new rules came into force but now its open season on us "honest" car owners.

One thing you might consider is taking out a years insurance and then cancelling within the standard 14 day cooling off period.

Try pistonheads too (you can do a free ad on there but limited pics). If it is interesting it might go at the lower price.

Sold one bike and one car through them and it has cost me nowt :)

£10 to advertise on there now, it came in recently. Although, if you've been a member of the forum for a long time (I think it's 3 years), it's still free.

Ah that is because the 9 pic at a tenner bit was always paid, they did a 3 pics for free and you were after all the 'premium' ads. That wasn't an issue, searching on most recent additions got round the issue.

Still, a lot cheaper than some and not a bad audience either!

What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?
  • Thanks for all the help. If I've not had any luck in a week I'll put it on Pistonheads too, but am trying to keep my advertising costs down. I did start an ad with them thinking it was free but then got to the payment screen and decided against. Re the insurance it seems that in the event LV give me a silly quote I have other options.

    Cheers
