RBS have not responded to my PPI claim after 16 Weeks

I made a claim to Natwest (RBS) for PPI on a loan in May of this year. I was told 4 weeks, then 8 weeks and then 16 weeks. I believe the leaders are allowed upto 16 to respond. The only responses I’ve had in that time are to a) say they’re looking into it and b) to tell me they’ll need more time. i.e. 16 Weeks.

I’m unable to get hold of anyone on the phone (nobody answers) so would like some advice as to what I should do next? Should I write to RBS, if so is there a template letter? Or should I write directly to the FOS?

I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who’ve dealt with RBS for a PPI claim before.

Thanks in advance.

Yes I have dealt with RBS and have been dealing with them since last November regarding PPI on a credit card.
I ring them quiet often and get through, I have been made an offer now based on the last 10 years PPI.
