I am shocked if this does happen. I mean QE1 was fine because it stopped deflation (arguably). But to do QE with RPI running at over 5% just seems downright irresponsible.

Don't talk rubbish, the majority companies in the UK were set up within the last 50 years. Many by people who left school at 15 or 16 and just got on with it.

And in 50 years time the majority of companies will also have been set up in the the next 50 years. Thats because technology changes and new companies emerge and grow. Although I suspect your just trolling and trying to have an arguement so w/e.

From my experience this heating season (wood stoves) things are quite obviously quieter than last year, & that's both our branches ..
With all this doom about re a possible return to recession, we have almost created a self fulfilling prophecy ... But how long does QE take to have an effect ?

It was a direct reply to a theory that the boomers never produced anything and just spent their time mewing their houses.

The "Young" spend too much time whinging to actually do anything.

They should be out there setting up businesses and growing the economy like their parents did, but they seem to just expect handouts.

The people who want the handouts are the old crones that didnt pay enough into the system and now want rises in their pensions and NHS healthcare provision.

Is that your argument for state liabilities, PFI and the NHS is it?

That was the (mainly Labour) politicians. Nothing to do with the general working population.
